Almost every Saturday, Friends of Trees is out at one or more planting sites across the greater Portland Metro region. They always need help and no experience is needed!

Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The event will start promptly at 9:00am. Come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes and get ready to have fun! They provide breakfast snacks/coffee, gloves, tools, and expert activity guidance.

Planting with Friends of Trees is a great way to get outside, learn how to plant trees, meet people, fulfill service learning requirements, and contribute to bringing the benefits of trees to everyone! They welcome individuals and groups. Check out their Online Event Calendar to find an event that interests you!

With a group? Friends of Trees planting events are an excellent way for groups to boost team-building skills, have fun together, and give back to the community. They request that groups of 5 or more people pre-register. Please click here to register your group!  Individuals or groups smaller than 5 people are welcome to simply show up.

If any volunteer is under 18 years old (and volunteering without a parent or guardian), they require the volunteer to bring a signed copy of the Youth Waiver to the event.
