Become a Habitat Ambassador!

Where:Anywhere
When: Ongoing need
On the web:http://www.nwf.org/volunteertypes/
We are looking for individuals

Habitat Ambassadors help NWF in many ways, but all share a common goal of wanting to help others find ways to create places for wildlife in their own backyards, schools, workplaces, faith centers or their entire communities!

Here's how Habitat Ambassadors can help and how to get started on becoming one:

  • First, participate in Distance Learning course that covers the importance of native plants, water, shelter and sustainable gardening practices
  • Communicate with multiple local venues to set up visits
  • Distribute information about NWF and its habitat programs at local events, stores or other venues
  • Provide updates and feedback to NWF on your experiences
  • Available weekends and weeknights
  • Commit to a minimum of 5 events/visits, (2 hours each), over a period of 3-4 months
