Why does this donor support this organization?
"Personally, being involved with NWEI has changed my life. The courses fueled my passion for the planet, overriding my reticence to act. As a result I have been able to encourage others to do the same and we now have a city working on a community sustainability initiative at the request of the mayor and city council." -- Maureen Beezhold, Corvallis, Oregon
How do volunteers make a difference for this organization?
Volunteers have been a critical part of NWEI since our founding. Volunteers help countless discussion groups start up, by making introductory presentations to groups, and acting as group mentors, to get them off to a great start. Volunteers also help spread the word about NWEI's sustainability discussion courses, assist with various projects in our office, event planning, and training of new volunteers. NWEI would not be able to reach the number of people we do each year without the invaluable support of our volunteers!

Northwest Earth Institute staff and volunteers join thousands of people across North America each year to promote discussion and make daily life changes toward a healthier, more sustainable planet.
