Americans are addicted to pesticides, using more than 1 billion pounds every year. You might be surprised that home and garden use accounts for more than 100 million pounds annually.

We like to think that Oregon is "green," but there's plenty of evidence that pesticides have made their way into our food, water, air and soil. Mounting evidence shows that pesticides threaten the health of people, pets and wildlife.

  • Children are at special risk from pesticide exposure from the food they eat and the places where they live and play.
  • Pesticide-laced waterways not only impact our drinking water but also threaten endangered salmon.
  • Pesticides impact our health and environment in many ways. But in our homes and communities, we can take steps toward living pesticide-free.

Please contact us to do a pesticide-free presentation for your group. You'll learn about the problems pesticides pose and about viable alternatives. We can do presentations for you in Eugene, Corvallis and Portland with advanced notice.
