Join the Walk+Bike Network! 60% of kids get do not get any exercise outside of school. That's a horrifying statistic. Let's change it.

Volunteer participation is key to the success of the bicycle safety education program. Help us reach out to children in your community by sharing your bicycle knowledge and enthusiasm! We offer trainings and volunteer orientation materials to get you up to speed.

Join us as a part of our:

Bike Fleet Maintenance Volunteer Wrench Team

Join the Volunteer Wrench Team to help with monthly maintenance of our fleet of youth program bikes. These are the bikes that we use to teach Bicycle Safety Education to 4th and 5th grade students, so you can be sure we need to know they will not only perform safely, but will also keep going year after year.

Email LeeAnne if you'd like to come or if you have any questions.

Safety Education Ride Leader

Work closely with BTA staff to guide small groups of students on community rides on the streets around their schools.  Volunteer shifts are two or three hours, either in the morning or the afternoon during the school day.  We need 3 or 4 volunteers per shift - so bring a friend! Download a primer of our orientation and training materials here.

Together we can teach children to ride safely and independently!
