Celebrate by Giving
Oregon Turns 150 and Earth Share Turns 20
Oregon is officially 150 years old this month!Ever wonder what to give a beloved friend for their 150th birthday? Earth Share of Oregon has an idea for you… What could celebrate the spirit of Oregon better than a gift that keeps Oregonians healthy, protects its wildlife, and staves off global warming? From now until the end of March, anyone who donates at www.earthshare-oregon.org will be giving Oregon an official Birthday Gift! These donations will benefit Earth Share’s conservation groups – 70 nonprofits that keep Oregon green. Your gift will plant trees, protect rivers, promote bicycling, provide hiking trails, and much more in and around our state. And, in honor of Earth Share’s 20th anniversary, anyone who gives $20 or more will receive a special gift -- an official “Heart in Oregon” sticker that shows the world just how much you love your home state. More details, and the secure giving portal, are at www.earthshare-oregon.org. For those who want to give back without giving money, there’s an option, too! Many Earth Share groups are planning volunteer projects for the Oregon150 “Take Care of Oregon” days in May. Anyone can sign up now to volunteer at www.oregon150.org.
